My 5 Minutes in the Sunlight

This week has been particularly challenging for time management. Now that we’re into the new year, I've found my schedule jam-packed with planning calls, meetings, reports, and endless to-dos (I currently have 14 Post-its on my desk...IYKYK).

I've skipped meals and water breaks, trying to juggle everything and keep up with the demands and I started to feel itI took a quick break to let my dog in from outside.

I noticed my 6-month-old puppy basking in the sunlight, truly enjoying a happy moment. Normally, I would call him in and mindlessly check my phone, but this time, I decided to take five minutes for myself. I sat outside without my device, holding a refreshing iced tea, and watched him.

That brief escape made a world of difference. I feel much better and more focused to wrap up the afternoon.

This got me thinking: what does everyone else do with their perfect five minutes? I’d love to hear about your go-to activities for a quick break – whether it’s enjoying a warm coffee, reading a few pages, or taking a brief walk to the mailbox.
