Motivational Minute – Hormesis – Cold Exposure
Welcome to your Monday Motivational Minute! This quarter we will be exploring biohacking featuring Stephanie Xenos, Health & Wealth Transformation Coach. Each week, Stephanie will be sharing one biohack and one challenge so we can experience biohacking for ourselves.
This week we are introducing the concept of hormesis! Hormesis is characterized by a low dose stimulation or beneficial effect and a high dose inhibitory or toxic effect. One example of hormesis is cold exposure. Cold water can trigger our body to clean up mitochondria, help you sleep deeper, increase dopamine and regulate mood, immunity, and metabolism.
✅ Weekly Challenge: This week, incorporate 1 minute of cold water on your face at the end of your shower, or put your face in ice water for 1 minute each day!
👩💻 If you want to learn more and missed the FREE workshop, Operation Vitality - Using Biohacking for Upgraded Performance at Work and in Life, on November 19th or previous Motivational Minutes, you catch them on demand in the Content Library.
