Motivational Minute – Hormesis – Intermittent Fasting

Welcome to your Monday Motivational Minute! This quarter we will be exploring biohacking featuring Stephanie Xenos, Health & Wealth Transformation Coach. Each week, Stephanie will be sharing one biohack and one challenge so we can experience biohacking for ourselves.

This week we are introducing the concept of hormesis! Hormesis is characterized by a low dose stimulation or beneficial effect and a high dose inhibitory or toxic effect. One example of hormesis is intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has tons of benefits, even from just two times a week for twelve hours overnight. It can reduce inflammation, the risk of heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. It is also known to promote longevity!

Weekly Challenge: This week, try fasting from 8pm to 8am, for just 2 nights.
